Here are a few pictures of Owen and Dash from today. We went to Babies R Us for some quick photos of the babies. Owen and Dash were fussy because they wanted to nap, so we only got a few poses.

Here are some pictures of Owen playing video games. He’s pretty good for a 13-month old baby! We have high hopes for Owen to follow in his Daddy’s footsteps as a video game programmer.

Happy Mother’s Day (a little belated)

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers and mothers-to-be out there! I also want to say a special thank you and Happy Mother’s Day to all the “mothers” in my life, my Mom, my mother-in-law, my sister, my sisters-in-law, and lastly, but not least, my aunt , who is my 2nd mother.

If you know my history, you know that the road to motherhood for me was very bumpy. After 2 losses and years of yearning for a child to love, I am now blessed with 2 beautiful babies, Owen (13 months old) and Dash (2 months old).

My life is very different now. I used to have all the free time in the world to shop, go out for dinners, talk on the phone, play video games, cook, and read. Now, in my free time, I shower, scarf down a few bites of food (or whatever I can find in the pantry or refrigerator) and take cat naps to combat signs of sleep deprivation. Motherhood is not what I had imagined it to be. It’s not all roses, but when my Owen comes charging at me with his arms stretched wide, his mouth set in a grin and plants a sloppy wet kiss on my lips or when my Dash coos in response to me talking to him, all those “thorns” of motherhood are stripped away. All the sleepless nights and aching muscles are worth it! I waited a lifetime to be a mother and wouldn’t trade in what I have for anything in this world!

Visiting Daddy

Today, Owen and Dash went to Daddy’s office to visit him while he worked. It was Dash’s first visit, so it was exciting for him. He was very calm during the visit and didn’t want to leave, so he cried the entire ride home! Here are some pictures from today.

Dash fell asleep on the ride to the office, so here he is when we got to the office.
